Tasting impression on this bold Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah blend. For this limited release, an exciting first for VineCo the juice was pre-oaked in-house, steeped for six months with local Niagara whisky oakchips*. Steeping the juice with whisky oak chips adds depth and structure, enhancing tannins while rounding the palate and layering in notes of sweet spice and brown sugar. The result is a confident, full-bodied wine where Cabernet’s dark blackcurrant and plum meet Syrah’s ripe wild berry and savoury spice. The blend finishes with hints of mocha, vanilla, and a gentle wisp of smoky toasted oak-an unmistakable mark that lingers long after the last sip.
